Chickens Doing Yoga
You know those mornings when you’ve got nothing to give? The mornings where your get-up-and-go has gotten-up-and-left? This is one of those days for me. However, I feel it is my duty to give you something “chicken-y” today. I can’t bring myself to leave you hanging.
Today will teach you nothing. I know, I know, “teaching you to homestead no matter where you live.” Maybe I can roll a homesteading lesson into this whole thing. How about…
To find happiness, you need to find joy in the little things.
Today, I present to you, Chickens Doing Yoga:
Let’s start with a deep cleansing breath. Remember, in through the nose and out through the mouth, chanting ahhh.
Now, let’s do the Tree Pose. Imagine your foot being rooted to the ground.
Let the stress flow through your wing tips while you do the Warrior Pose.
That is an excellent Side Stretch, but let’s put a little more heart into it.
Lulu, that is a great Revolved Triangle, but please wait for the rest of the class before beginning.
Now onto the Fish Pose. Imagine your little clawed toes are a fish’s fin, propelling you onward.
That is the best Lord Shiva’s Pose I’ve seen in a long time.
Feel the amazing stretch of the Raised Arms (or Wings) Pose.
