Ingredients

Hot Water

teaspoon
Ground Turmeric
or 1 teaspoon fresh turmeric (grated)

teaspoon
Ginger
fresh, sliced or grated
1
teaspoon
Honey
or sweetener of choice
1
teaspoon
Lemon Juice
1
pinch
Black Pepper
optional, for absorption
Instructions
Heat water until just below boiling.
1 cup Hot Water
Add turmeric, ginger, and black pepper (if using) to the mug.
1/2 teaspoon Ground Turmeric,
1 teaspoon Ginger,
1 pinch Black Pepper
Pour hot water over the ingredients and steep for 5 minutes.
Stir in honey and lemon juice. Mix well and sip slowly.

Notes
Turmeric may stain cups and utensils; clean promptly after use. Black pepper enhances turmeric’s absorption but is optional.
